Missoula is one of western Montana’s “cities”, at the confluence of three rivers: Clark Fork, Bitterroot, and Blackfoot (made famous by the movie “A River Runs Through It”). Missoula is a regional hub for shopping, dining and cultural activities, including art, film, symphony, theatre, and dance. Grab a bite to eat and a locally brewed beer at many locations throughout Missoula, or the many varieties restaurants, including Thai, Indian, and sushi restaurants. The music scene is bustling with activity, including the renovation of the historic Wilma Theatre, and the newly constructed Kettlehouse Amphitheater. If you're a winter sports fan, nearby is Snowbowl, Lost Trail, Discovery, and Lookout pass. Additionally, Missoula provides a wide variety of Medical Services, including Community Hospital, and one of the 50 top heart hospitals in the nation: St. Pats. Home to the University of Montana, the Grizzlies’ sports teams and academic departments provide a wide array of enrichment and entertainment. When you need to get away from it all, you can be on a remote road in the National Forest Service, exploring the back woods within minutes, such as the nearby Rattlesnake Wilderness area. Missoula has had record construction recently, with new developments including the Old Sawmill District by the Clark Fork River, and the impressive new Fort Missoula Regional Park, as well as the newly constructed Franklin elementary and the diverse shopping district at the Southgate Mall. Missoula has great access to explore Montana's beauty, such as areas of the Bitterroot, Seeley Lake, and Glacier National Park. Missoula has a great combination of qualities that, to some opinions, make it the greatest place to live.
